Common Cause.

At one time or another there is a time when we meet someone we get on with, my guessing is that we all have at one time or another. Now, I can only call upon the things I have heard and things I have been told and maybe a personal experience of my own, one of the most common problems that befall a SL friendship, partnership or marriage is one of two things. Both of which are normal in sort of a RL way, but on SL gives rise to a never ending source of drama and trouble.

Now I mention this at this point in time mainly as I am now a single AV, and perhaps look at things in a different way than maybe I may have done before. I believe that trust within a SL relationship is one of the biggest causes of things falling apart, which leads on to the second, the desire to want more, what I mean is the demand of one partner or the other, for more time and contact, more affection etc. Which is also coupled with the request to reduce contact or time talking to others, contact or talking to others is seen as time that could be spent with your respective other half.

All of this obviously can leave people feeling restricted and maybe even the feeling of being controlled. It seems a common pattern that SL relationships go through, I don't know why, maybe it's our own self insecurities that make us that way, or maybe the controlling side of us showing though. No matter what it is when the signs start you know the slippery path has begun!

Now I want to say that this isnt the case for all relationships, hell I know a few that have being going strong for years and they seem very happy, and I think we all look for that scenario being the one we are aspiring to be in. I sometimes wonder how or why things change and what was the trigger.  I am sure that someone who has been like that may know or be able to explain what happened and why, I would ask them to post a reply and let us know. You can post without leaving your details, and hence hiding your SL.

I am a curious guy, maybe nosey even, but until we can understand why these things, how do we know who to put them right or even find a solution..  Anyway I would be interested to hear your opinions and for that matter any other reason SL relationships have failed.

Something different :)

Well tonight, was a stark difference to the party at Naigo's. When I logged in world, I did a quick check to see who was online and see if anything was planned for the night. It looked to be a bit of a quiet night, so it was time to head out and go where no AV has gone before!!

A few days ago I had seen a few listings in the events for stuff going on in the Star Trek museum, I had been there a fair time ago. So it was a good time to head over and check it out again, to be honest there is loads to see and do and it has been added to and improved one hell of a lot. So much so I will go back and spend time in each area so I can cover it all :)


After leaving the Star Trek museum it was a quick TP home to see what I was going to do next, one place that I always said I would go back and visit was the Rose Theater, sadly after searching for a while I couldn't find it. So if anyone has the LM then please can you let me have it please :) But what I did find was another Theater that was running the ballet Coppelia, so I thought it was worth a look and see what it was like. I was stunned to find that the performance was very good and the sets and the costumes were amazing. As expected the music was clear and faultless and each act was put on a board prior to the act starting so you could understand what you was about to see. And there was a fairly large crowed that were in the theater, both in the floor area and the balcony and boxes that were around the stage. This is one thing that I was truly amazed by and to be honest would go back and see another performance.

Naigo's pool party!!

Naigo was about to start a night of fun, laughter and a whole bunch of silliness :) I had known for a week or so that Naigo was planning a party, not just any party but a full on Olympic size pool party! With a diving board and slide and loads of other games, I will come to one piece of equipment later as I have a few pics that will emphersis the point I mean :)

Well I must say what a great turn out, and Nai spent time reminiscing over past memories, working at other venues, the people she met, plus her time as a land girl in the UK during WWI :).. I am so toast when she reads this lol. The crowd were getting up to all sorts of things and later a bear appeared which I think Cal had a part to play in that but well will see from the pic :) One thing that did stike me was apart from myself and Romanceme there was a lack of Muddys staff and friends, not sure what's going on there but let's hope your all able the next one :)

The pool was a great hit and the swim HUD was perfect as without it I would have drowned, I did take precautions and put on some flippers, once again I have pics to confirm that this fashion statement will be all the rage in the clubs!! Please let it be know I was the instigator to this claim to fame, if it flops as a fashion statement I was setup and I will find someone to blame... Looks around for a escape route..
Now one thing that Nai had put up on her land was a pole not any old pole a dance pole,and from seeing Nai demonstrating it, this is not its first outing ;) Well, yeah! some of us had to give it a try, I know Glaze my have the edge on looks but I think the flippers where the turning point in the night for me :), I'll let you make your decisions. But please, make vote flipper or not :)

Such flexability should be put to good use :)

In true party style the pictures came out and the usual, do you remember when or do you remember this person.. Now normal all this takes place in the kitchen, well that's were most parties end up lol. But tonight we were outside on the grass, chilling, it was getting a little cold at one point and body heat was shared to stop the goosebumps appearing :) no doubt that will start a whole new gossip story for some, one day I might do something to really warrant gossip lol..

But the talk of the town should be NAIGO and her amazing party, and from everyone there we thank you for a great night Nai, and for being an amazing host to us all :)
But to finish this post I have to say that we all need to have a role model, on that shows others how to make their mark in the work... I will leave you to see where you need to set your new goal in life :)

A night few hours spent dancing.

Well it has been known that I do get some free time off in world, and this was one such nights. The night prior was spent working at Muddy's with the Mudstock theme running and I tried to play as many tunes of that era as I could. It turned out to be a good set for me and one that was fun to do :)



Well I had always enjoyed the tunes at Muddy's and when I logged in and picked up my messages headed over for a bit of relaxation and listen to some great tunes. The thing I love about places like Muddy's and other clubs of the same style is the diversity of the music played and differing eras as well. Like always there was the normal regulars and VIP's, and local was loud and vibrant and full of hustle and bustle. For me it was time to listen to the music, and chat to a few friends that came and go throughout the night. Naigo was around and we had a chat about what was going on in SL and some of the ups and downs it has. One thing I can safely say is that Naigo will always be honest and give you an opinion, and is one of the few people and closest friends that I am happy to take criticism and advice from.

Well back to the night, I had been talking to Naigo and a few others when I got a IM from a former club owner I worked with .. Just saying hi and seeing how I was, which is what SL should be like, a fun place and somewhere to socialise.  Well after a while I TP's Emily over to Muddy's and we spent some time talking and dancing. It was nice to get out and do something different, and dancing with someone was something I do on the rare occasions, but love to time permitting and obviously someone to dance with lol..

Well both Emily and I danced until I had to leave and head back to RL and see if I could get some sleep..RL has a busy side right now and I find myself grabbing time on SL when I can..  But I look forward to getting online and dancing again, dance partner permiting of course :)

SL life and people are fickle :)

After a little bit of a torrid time on SL over the last few weeks or maybe even months, it has taken until now to realise and not without help from a good friend that my SL needs to take a little bit of a course correction.

Sometimes I think we can get so absorbed into what we think is the norm for SL that we suddenly become very blinkered. And like others no wants to feel their different or out of the ordinary to anyone else, me least of all.

Its funny really when you compare your life to that of others, what I mean that sometimes you hear about another persons life and its sounds so very like your own. This is going to a post that swings between RL and SL so please stick with me if I haven't already bored you to death lol

One such comparison would be between I myself and Stephen Fry, apart from the most obvious differences, he has wealth, I do don't, Hes has fame,  alas I don't and the sexual side, He is gay and I am not.. I have been reading or rather listening to his latest autobiography audio book, its strange when you hear some of the things he has found so enthralling or so inspiring that oneself has also seen and felt in the same manor or context. Not only that but even some of his own personal opinions are the same as my own, the same self depreciating nature and low self esteem. Couple that with the ability to always see the better in others than yourself it is almost un-canny how two people can be so different but have such a close opinion of one's own life, but search for the ability and desire to be successful but without wanting to make a big deal out of it.. But really inside look to have or seek the approval of others that you are in fact a success in your own right.

I must stop waffling on like this as if you have any desire or need to see or find out what I mean then I would strongly recommend the reading or listening of the book "the Fry Chronicles" By Stephen Fry ( Amazon Book Store )

But needless to say that I have some re-thinking of how dare I say this carry myself in SL, for those who know me it many surprise people of the side of me, given what may appear a very self assured and flamboyant nature. Sadly that is not always the case but the mask sometimes that people wear to appear something that they're not.. That's not to say I don't like to have fun, dance do all the other stuff on SL, in fact that's something that I sometimes crave more than anything else. But that's the side I will focus on for the coming months, and maybe just maybe there will be a light along the way that will stand out and illuminate my path.

My next post will be of some of the nicer times that I have had over the last few days and I hope to see many more of. 

We all have a reason!

For those of us that are in SL we are there for a reason, what that reason varies with each and everyone that click that SL viewer, no matter what guise that might be.  More recently SL has been going through some very odd changes, okay what I mean that at the moment I and some others have seen club staff come and go at an alarming rate, and that seems to be for many clubs in SL.

One thing that has been very obvious it me and others that I have spoken to, the amount of people that are find themselves at the mercy of people with a evil and vindictive streak, with lies and stories being told about all and sundry! It was very obvious to me last night at Muddy's and some of the many VIP's  or shall I say the some regulars that totally ignored me during my DJ set... Now that's fine, I have no problem with that as I can play my tunes to those who want to listen and have fun.

But getting back to my reason for the post, the reason people are on SL. Many find that SL is away to have some relaxation, meet a few people and have fun.. For others there are differing ideas for being in SL, some are there for the sole reason of finding a partner, others are there to find some extra outside the normal marital companionship... For others its the need to be loved and needed, and I like many have all met people that fit in these and other profiles as well. The lonely, the shy the people that are not able to get to met people in RL due to illness or disablity or even social and enviromental reasons.

I just dont understand the reason for people to be set to go out and distroy other peoples lives, and in some cases ruin that persons SL. I am interested to hear why others are here in SL and experiences that you have come across with people that are hell bent to affect others and their SL..

Stumbles goes!! Crazy!!!!

Srumbles has been a new venue that has already attracted a lot of attention, and when Muddys closing loomed over the staff there me included we all looked for alternative venues to work at. I joined the team there and had the news that Muddys was to move and not close, many of the DJs went straight back to Muddys.. Unlike others I never left muddys and vowed to be there until they booted me off the land. But there was a small amount of people that joined Stumbles, and soon as Muddys sent the notice they were to stay open they defected straight back.. The days of loyalty I guess are gone, a sad day when that happened.

 Anyway, my second night set there was quiet different, I got to meet a new member of staff who runs the host team. I must say the the night turned out very strange, as a DJ I am used to doing a bit of talking but tonight I was asked, to read out a storie that some had written.. It appears I have a nice voice.. Well what was written in a romantic way but with a little hit of sexual conetation.. It was the hardest thing I had done, SO far! But it was good fun and the crowd loved it...

Overal the set went okay, I was only asked to strip off a few times and as a result of that night I had the pleasure of talking to two people called twisted and Nova both of which were a great laugh and made the night fun :)

Catching up.

Well it's been a bit of a busy time and some of my closest friends know that my RL has just been made a better place :)

Anyway as a result I have neglected posts, but wanted to try and catch up a little, so here goes :)

When you work online and your in a job that means your talking to people, you generally get to see some people time and time again. But sadly you for most of the time and as your working you don't get that time to socialise. But just sometimes you can, and s day a while back a had time to chat and dance with one such person, Romanceme.

We had a laugh and a chat, Romanceme is always a very active local chat person at Muddys, Romanceme is and always will be a funny and vibrant person and always loves to chat and dance, hardly surprising to think that there must be a HUGE Romanceme fan club.. :)

Anyway Romanceme was sneaky enough to catch a picture of us dancing, if I say so myself I think I look quite cute ;) just kidding lol





Enoughs, Enough!!

Now recently as some of you may know there has been a little un-rest on SL and has made time online a little fustrating and its now got to a point that I feel its time I said something..

There has been some rumours and stories going around.. Which I will not even lower myself to repeat...  needless to say that they are total rubbish and for those who start such rubbish you can take pleasure of seeing  my to fingers forming a "V" just for you ...

SL is about fun and meeting people.. and in one such way is talking to people and making friends,  strangely like you would in RL... But in SL you have the ability to be who or what you want and that makes life a little more fun...

My final comment to those people hiding in the shadows, SL is my SL and I will do and dance with who I want! if you don't like such shocking and frighting prospect, please grin and bare it... if you cant then please feel free to IM me and I will address you complaint and protest in the best and correct manor...  Enjoy SL like I will!!

Wow that was hard!!

Well last night it was a evening at Muddy's and I have to be honest I don't understand SL sometimes... The past few weeks the club has been packed and its been a real battle to keep up at times.. I know at one point I had 8 requests come in at once and I shot a IM to Naigo to say that I had a load of requests and I would be slightly quieter than normal while I deal with them... 

Last night was a night that was a little slow to start with but improved as the night went on, but no where near to the same levels as the last few weeks..  I really don't get it sometimes.. But I guess that if I try to understand it I will be a mental wreck by the end of the day... :) 

I had a few chats with people there before the SIM went poof and kicked us all out.. I would like to take credit for crashing the SIM but that would be a lie lol...   Its amazing really how you can easily miss judge someone solely based on your experience of them in local chat...  I will be honest I was truly taken back and that a rare thing as even Naigo's smelly feet last night only had me on the back foot for a few Min's, just while I reached for my tactical gas mask... :)   Ohhh  Hell Naigo's going to kill me lol...

Well I look forward to getting online later, that's if I don't have a bounty on my head after my Naigo comment... Hugs Naigo.. Only kinding lol

Last night was my night at Thunder and as always there is always the chance to have a good giggle when Lore and Tasty turn up,,,  and to add to the fun we had Bot in on the act tonight... OMG local was at times totally crazy and even I had a hard time to come back wih an answer or reply that didnt fringe on the naughtly side... Man I must have been on my best behaviour last night lol..  Yeah yeah thats a first I hear you all cry... But trust me I was an angel  last night..  Dispite all the claims of being sweet and innocent that was being brandished around :)    I believe you :)

But I caught Tasty riding a pink pony and as a result she lost her skirt... So me being me couldt resist taking a snap of it for the blog... I will upload this later... I am sure that I will be IM'd very quickly once the picture goes live...

V2 and MESH!

Just a twist in the tail from me here and a thought based on other comments.. IF LL are waiting to see a up turn in V2 users to roll out the MESH plan... What if those of us that are not looking to re-invest countless amounts of money to re-invent ourselves as MESH AV's...  IF no one takes up V2 and the only way the V1 viewers will stop working is if the release of MESH happens...  Wouldn't it be more practical for those of us that dont have that abundence to cash to not to switch to the latest viewer?

And if it does go to MESH... wait until almost everything stops and give up on SL and save our hard earned cash, rather than lose whatr we have... spend it all again and then loose it all again in god knows how many years to aid the economy of yet another LL project?

At the end of the day we are paying to have a SL and LL are in some ways taking the choice out of what we do...  We either switch to MESH at some point and spend X amount of cash OR see random squares and circles that were things or people..  Nothing like having your back against a wall I say and a gun to your head for those of us that enjoy SL..

Maybe I wont switch to a V2 viewer and be one of the 80% that havent

Friday night at Muddy's was totaly amazing!  It was packed for pretty much the whole night and thats perfect! It means Muddys is back in full swing and that I am really glad about... Both Naigo and myslef had a chat about how fun it was and how much we enjoyed it....  And that was helped that we had another great night of VIPS being in and some great new partons...  Who are now VIPS  :) ...  Its nights like Friday that really make the whole DJ/Host worth while..

Thunder! Thunder!

A little bit of a change to the normal set last night lol :)


Well last night I was checking out some tunes before I was due to start at Thunder, as I had a few mins and wanted to get myself ready to party I headed to club early and just started to spin some tunes... Those who came last night can vouch that its not my normal style lol .. Anyway I was chilling out to some trance and ended up sticking with it for the whole set... I must agree not the normal for Thunder or me... But what the hell its done now..   I think i'll stick with rock though, its far easier to work with :)

Up and Rocking @ Stumbles :)

Wooooohooooo!!!!


Last night was my first gig at Stumbles and as it happens it turned out to be a great night, theres quite a few characters there that meant that local was full of buzzing stuff ... and lets not mention the no pressure of Emily the boss being my host and talking to everyone about how her boobs bounced...  She then proceded to jump up and down to prove the point lol...  Everyone there was laughing like crazy's lol ...


A good friend poped in to lend there support, plus it was nice to see you again lore.... and lets not leave it so long next time :) So I have a night off tonight and then its party on to the weekend...   So make sure you book you seat for the funny bus that im driving :)
