It's crazy!

Well it's been a mad time of late and that shows as I have hardly been posting anything..

Right now I'm trying to catch up with all that's been happening, not an easy task :)

For the most of it working as a DJ has been up and down, many clubs are closing as traffic is bad and support for venues is dropping as a result of the world wide credit crunch.. Even SL can't escape RL :)

But not all is bad, at least Mammu and I have had more time to chat and have some fun. Not only that it's given Mammu time to get back to taking some pictures.. And one with me a little under dressed at the Xmas gig at Myst :)

Thanks Mammu for the great pics, and I can't wait to see all our pics of next year :)

Hi everyone!
Sorry for the lack of posts, things have been sort of a little crazy! And Mammu seems to be able to distract me and I forget what I was going to write about :))

Well I have been playing at Fallen and Myst which has been great :), both clubs have such a great member list and are both warm and friendly. So when you get time you should pop in and say hi! I think your have a cracking time :)

Other things are going on, but I will update you all when I can on these :)

What a strange thing!

Okay well there are some things I think are a little odd! Last night while out with dancing with Mammu we popped in to Tides. It was only going to be a flying visit and it was made quicker when DJ Samantha spoke and turned out to be a guy!!

Now if your a DJ and you don't speak when you work you would pull it off! But a guy being a bird and talking, I don't think your pull it off, it made me leave real quick..

I know it's just me being me, it's just very odd in my mind!

Myst and Muddys!

Wow it only seemed a few days ago I was pulling this double! The weeks are flying past!

Well what can I say? The only thing I can say is the VIPs in both clubs are amazing! And I love my sets with you, but sadly my set at Muddys was only a fill shift which has now come to and end ... Boo's and hiss's, stops around for a while ;)

In honesty doing a double seems a great idea but its very tiring :( plus you miss time with your partner, although Manmu tries to be there for my sets :)

Well one day a slot may open up on a regular basis :)

Busy, busy!

Well I had a busy evening at Fallen, as it was a beach theme I thought it best to strip off and let things get an airing :)

Yeah I was in a slightly crazy mood, even had a go at pole dancing, not sure I have the legs for it lol.. Still I was to busy having a laugh to see how quickly the time went!

Time for some sleep now, all worn out dancing ;)

First night @ Goodfellas

Well last night I did my first shift at Goodfellas, wasn't quite the start I had hopped lol.. Firstly I found that I wasn't in the DJ board, never a major issue as I posted to land instead ;)

Anyway I met my host Vay who like me was doing there first shift, so a couple of virgins in one place (Vay and me) lol

Sadly the numbers were low, but I know from my own club owner days, it's not easy to drive traffic to your club.

But despite the numbers we had fun, and surprisingly the time flew past lol. So a big thank you for those who did stay and party :)

Back to back sets!

Well last night I was set to pull a back to back set, first at Myst and then a cover at Muddys! Four hours! Wow! To be honest it was great and like always both clubs had loads of great VIPs in, dispite SL having issues. I crashed 6 times! Drives me nuts.. LL sort it out lol

Opening set @ Fallen Angels!

Well Saturday saw me work my first set at Fallen Angels, and wow, it was to be a great night! We had a great theme of pirates and wenches with a great comp being run, but I have to say the warm, fun and friendly people really stood out to me..

I as for most first shifts I played it a little tame, but as the music is quiet diverse there and it being an adult club I am sure that I will get a bit riskier lol

But DJ Brie was after me and had the pleasure to host the cloths manufacturer Hugo.. Great outfits, and worth checking them out!

Looking forward to my next set :)

Went for a boogie, ended up with a job :)

Well last night me and the way better half went to Goodfellows club, I know I was set to work there when Tides was closing. But never havin been there I thought it time we (the way better half) went and checked it out!

Well after relaxing, I got talking to Tami and Cole and pow I have a shift on Fridays at 2.00-4-00pm.. And to celebrate we danced for hours :)

Wow first shift at Myst

Well I have to say that even though I have DJ'd for sometime now, starting somewhere new is always a little strange, but I ill say that Blane is a great guy and I do know a few of the staff from working with them at Muddys and Tides. I am still on staff at Muddys and at some point I hope to get a regular shift again..  But Mammu I think I should make my personal photographer ;), you have taken some great shots :) 

 

Mammu also grabbed a quick snap of us dancign while we listened to the DJ after me, sadly a few stream issues cause a fast change in DJ's.. Great night though and love the club :)

 

Getting Comfy

Yeah been at Fallen a few times and wanted to look over the place and just found out I have a DJ shift now so this is another new home for me.. and Mammu seem to like lay back and relax.. And awesome pic by the way :)

Time to relax

It is here that Mammu and I met, and it's clear now that it was destined to be.. Mammu awaits her master to join her.. I am proud to own her, Mammu is my princess :)

What to do?

Well been checking out a few clubs, some are worth considering to apply to work for.

Cerise has asked me to be GM at her club, but I am not sure I have the time online to make it worth while her taking me on.. I guess time will tell :)

Firestorm number 1

Looks like firestorm has been voted best viewer, and with a new release has been said to be the most stable on SL..

Why is it my current version now crashes more since they launched a new version!! I think it's a conspiracy to get you to download the new version lol

Right place right time!

Well last night I was for the first time in the right place at the right time! Yahhayyyy me :)

Well after leaving Tides I have taken the time to relax and chill out, but last night whilst at Muddys I got a shift cover.. It was nice to see some of the usual suspects in the house, and good to see Sierra back to her normal giving me abuse ways.. :)

Well still scanning around for a place to work, but at the moment I'm not in a huge rush :)

I have to say that Mammu has an amazing talent with pictures, I always admire someone that gets great shots such as these :)

You know what! It's so nice to have a little time to yourself on SL.. No work for a while yahhhayyy..

Ohhh Well!

Thought it best to get a quick message out for those that didn't or may have not received my group message.

With effect of Tuesday I am no longer working at Tides! As my time compared to many others in SL is relatively short, I was unable to meet the expectations that were asked of me which were above what I had currently been doing. But as many will know balancing SL with a SL job and a partner, and RL is not always easy, while still finding everything fun and not a chore.

Currently I am looking for alternatives, and will be happy to let you all know as soon as they happen :)

Gone!

Well not sure what too say really!

But at I guess less is more! I wish the staff at Tides the best! and my I hope all there DJ's are as loyal as myself!

Back at Tides!

Well the closing of Tides didn't happen, it would appear that staff and VIPs staged dance in, no one would leave.. So we're back having not left :)

My first shift back wasn't without hitch, half way through my set the sim Wang down, and the owners had to do a full restart which took 30 mins... But never the less it was nice to see friends again and the IM's saying it was good to see me playing :) Thank you all :) and a big thank you to Mammu for the two pics, many say we are a great team and I totally agree.. Still think I look better in leather when I wear it ;)

A night of many lows!

Well what can I say about last night! It was one that left me reeling, half way through my shift at Tides I see a staff message that the club is to close.

What could I say, all I know was I was totally gutted! After such a long time working in a great team it ended in such an abrupt and sad way!

Although I have a new club to work at with Naigo, I just feel a little broken at the moment! Maybe I should consider giving up as a DJ and focus on just being in SL.. Hell who knows.. Just devastated by the news at the moment!

Friday night rock!

Yep you got it Friday night rock at tides, and the crowd were a right laugh.. It got a little silly at one point lol

But at least everyone had a blast and that's what it's all about, so make sure you come over and see us and be sure to join in the antics :)

But before I started I managed to chill out, and of course Mammu by my side ;) .. But I think the night took its toll on Mammu and maybe one to many dances, I had to carry her home she was so tired... Not that I minded that :))

Something new!

Well last SL was pretty laggy, hell knows why!

With going out and dancing it was a quick look at the events listings to see what was going on.. After a few club hops we ended up at club I had never heard of, anyway Mammu and I chilled out had a dance and relaxed in one of there comfy seats.. For once animations were pretty bang on, nothing rubbish like you find in some places.. Thanks for a great night darling, you rocked :)

Tidestock!

Well its Tidestock and last night was my first set, let's say it had its up and down :)

The best part was the VIP's, you guys were cracking last night, I had so much fun, and if you read this Rebel your still crazy :). To top it all Mammu and I had time to dance and chat and be able to relax and have some fun :)

Last night spent some time at home, just chilling and chatting, but Mammu was quiet, no surprise when I get this great pic.. The quiet ones are always the worst they say. It's not always true :)

Night on the town!

With a night off from work and Mammu looking totally amazing we went and spent the night at Sanctuary Rock, some great tunes were being played, but the company was the best part :)

Enough said!

Well I guess there are a few people thinking Mammu, well that's no surprise or I could see that coming. Then good no shocks I guess, a little shock to me as we had always been friends for a long time, but I guess that meant that we new each other pretty well. But even after knowing each other for over a year, we both had a few surprises :)

Friends List!

Now I wanted to post this so people don't think I'm being an arse!

I am sure that you all have a friends list that grows and grows, well I have decided to remove some of my friends that have not been online for a long, long while. It doesn't mean I'm not your friend but I have to do some house cleaning before my friends list takes longer to load than my inventory! If or when you come back online please send me a FR I would love to put you back there :)

Another start :)

Well one thing you can say about SL, surprises are just around the corner. And no more so than when it involves me in some way, maybe I should pay more attention :)

It seems that no matter what SL has, it has its share of lies and miss truths. One day truth will prevail over all!

Same old me!

Well last night I found out that I'm still suffering with my age old complaint, foot in mouth.

Once again a poor attempt at having fun and a laugh back fired on me, and at sadly caused someone to remember a past that should have been left as a memory.

It was nice to get out and see another club and hear some different tunes. Sadly I forgot a picture, again lol

Found time to work on a website that I am building, it's not relating to SL so I won't bore you with RL stuff ;)

I managed to chat to a few friends, it was a nice to hear from them.. It was great to catch up with both old and new friends, must try and do that more frequently :)

I think my next venture might be to do some shopping, not the greatest of things but I need some retail therapy lol

Ditched!

Well time for a bit of a spring clean, I thought it best to dust off my old sofa set from many moons ago and put them to good use..   Check the dude chilling lol :)

I had a great set at muddys and afterwards I had a chance to talk to a few friends and talk over the latests stuff...

The weekend however didn't go without incident, and let's say I have had better ones. But after a flying visit on Saturday to Muddys, I headed out to a few clubs to chillout for a while.. Heard some great tunes :)

Demented Firebird Blog

Well the night had a few twists

My shift at Muddys had a but of a crazy time, I was working with Trin last night and what a great job she did :)

But to get the night off to a start, just prior to me starting everyone vanished from club, I thought that I was being boycotted lol. But it transpires that a un-named person while working on the land managed to alter land permissions... All we had was ban lines lol... Anyway it was all sorted in the nick of time, only to see me crash 2 mins before I had to start.. A sign it was going to be one of those nights.. And I wasn't disappointed ;)

Caught up :)

Had time to catch up with my sis, that was great we had kept missing each other for a week or so but it was good to catch up... And always the one with good and sound advice.. Hugs to you sis. :)))

Had a fun night!

I was out doing a bit of random club hopping, the music was that good I turned my own on instead... However the company was good and had a giggle over a fair many things :)

Time flies!

I have no idea where the time has gone, but it appears that it's been ages since my last post :(

Last night we open the evening at Yee old muddie doggie pub, just in time for a even bigger four day party in celebration of HRH Queen Elizabeth's Diamond jubilee...

It was a cracking night, and the place was packed, so thank you all for being there! Monday will see a full set of English tunes so make sure you get there early... :)

Slowly but surely!

Well the past few weeks have had ups and downs, but this week has been a right belter!

I know I haven't posted much recently but to be honest I hadn't done much!

Also there are times when saying nothing is the better thing to do, less trouble, less drama and means some peace and quiet lol

Maybe the only thing that I have done was visit a club that I won't even put its name to.. But let's say that I found the DJ was rude, and so out spoken about sexual acts via voice it was all to much! All I can say that's one club I won't be sorry not to work at :)

Muddys goes marathon!

What a Monday! What seemed a normal night at Muddy's turned in to a four hour party!! But god am I suffering today lol

Last night the party started as normal, sadly Naigo is still unwell and was absent, but Kitty took yo the shift and was set to do two shifts back to back. Little did I know so was I lol, both Kitty and I got the place rocking with some old school classic 80's tunes. I was amazed how quick the time flew past, the next thing I know I am coming to the second hour and staring at a huge crowd of VIP's.

Dj JD is never normally late but last night he never showed, and a shout out from William asking for a cover DJ was sent out, and there was a lack of response from anyone, at that moment my fate was sealed two more hours of rocking tunes. So a quick switch of music style and off we went, me and Kitty rock on, just as before the hours flew past and the crowed had ebbed and flowed and at the end we had people still with us after the full four hours!

I want to thank you all for sticking around and to Kitty for having the guts to put up with me lol..

Make it faster!!

Now I am sure most of you all do this anyway, but this post aimed at people that might be newer to SL.

Okay we all love to shop, well in SL we do anyway :) but something we are all aware of is the time it can take for our inventories to load. One thing I see is when you shop and make a purchase that normally you will get included a LM for the store you purchased from, and maybe a pose stand and picture of the item as it was on the model!

Now if you buy loads of items from the same place you get duplicates, of the same items, all you need to so is save one LM and one pose stand for dressing.. And delete all the other duplicates, with pose stands there NOT specific to that clothing company, so when you have one it works with all clothing :)

Once again if you visit a venue more than once they might have a auto give system for note cards or LM's if you have them already, delete them or ignore them. The only time I would be inclined to look at the note cards if it was a place that has events or sales.. In which case have a look and delete if you already have it or not of interest :)

That was just a little tip for some of the newer members to SL :)

Family!

Well the day has come when my family here in SL has grown, i now have Daff looking out for me as only a sister would.

The crazy thing is we are so alike it's mad, and personally I think she likes the challenge of trying to keep me inline and to vet all dance partners ;)

But it's a proud day and one that goes down as a special day..

Ohhh Daff! Good luck with keeping me inline your need it ;) lol

Two great people!

Well its not that offen that you come across two people that are amazing, during my time at Muddys you always see people that are there when ever they can.

I was fortnate to meet two people a while back that have shown that not only do they care about one another one hell of a lot, but are very good friends as well. I have had the pleasure to meet them both and spend time talking to them and getting to know them both... I can only say that Daffy and PJ are amazing, and although there both on the other side of the world to myself when we do get to talk its always full of laughs and giggles :)

Heres to you two and for being great people and even better friends :))

Well what a way to start the Easter break but at Muddys!

I just want to wish a speedy recovery to Naigo who was sadly not well and wasn't with us last night. Get well soon Nai!

As nights went it was pretty good, escape had the place rocking when I arrived, and proudly announced that he had hit 44 VIPs in club.. A tough act to follow I thought :) anyway I had the pleasure of working with a new member of the team Leah, and she had the short straw of working with me for her first shift lol.. Well I have to say Leah was truly rocking and to top it all we managed to hit 46 VIPs in club, a truly awesome thing :)

As always Muddys and all the staff go from strength to strength and supported by the best VIPs in SL, you all rock :)

Had fun :)

Spent last night dancing and talking to friends, Muddys was lively and sure had its moments with some amazing topics being talked about. I am still waiting for my delivery of two maids, I came into that conversation half way through but it sounded interesting lol!

Tonight is time for another set at Muddys, what to play is my dilemma lol.

I was talking to a SL friend today, and I have to thank them for making me see that I need to be me. Others may have an opinion but I need to be happy too!

Well...

Last night was a pretty rocking time, yes it had its twists and surprises, no more than seeing Unique after a long absence from SL. There was a double party going on as it was Rosannes birthday.. So both Naigo and I, both hope we helped make it a special time for everyone.

We had an awesome crowed and newcomers to Muddys, and the VIP's were in fine voice once again :) you guys and girls really do rock :)

Relaxing :)

Well last night I had time to
Chill out, I headed out and spent my evening over at Muddys. Had a laugh with friends and with Jessie who was spinning the tunes.

It was nice to have a chat with some friends and even get a dance in as well. That reminds me I must get some patches for someones jeans.. Lol

Had a blast :)

Last night saw my shift at Muddy's fly past, it started as normal until I found my stride and it all got a bitt silly, but in a fun sort of way lol.

A few people was left feeling a little queazy at the thought of me in a red mankini all Borat style, I have no idea why lol. All I can say is your all whimps lol

After Muddy's I ventured back to a old haunt for a while, listened to the tunes and just mellowed for a while. It wasn't long before I got a TP request from a former boss with the invite to hear her DJ.. Now as i know her sets are pretty good I headed over, and I was right Sapphire had the place buzzing, and me I carried on my madness and managed to get people having fun and chatting.. It would appear from many comments made that I would find it hard to stay out of trouble, but I am but a poor innocent boy.

But the high light was tipping Sapphire and her calling me a sex god as a thank you! If only that were true lol

But a big thank you to the people at TNT last night for a great evening :)

Past times!

Well last night I heard some news about a former place I had worked at as a host, this was my first real job in SL. It looks like its changed to new management, so I thought it might have been nice to slide on over and have a look around again. So I headed over to Sweethearts Jazz, it had changed a lot in the two years since I had last worked there.

We it was nice to see Sweethearts again, and there was a few old names I remember from my time there..

Went okay :)

Last night was a slow start at Muddys but the place filled as the shift went on, which is always nice :), plus we had some new and returning faces.

The tip jar worked like a dream, well I think it did, but from my view the pics were a little slow rezzing as the swapped. What did others see and think, it's info like this which will help me get it working correctly :)

Well I'm glad everyone had a great night and I had manny IM's saying they had a great time :)

Well....

I know my posts have been a bit sparse of late, RL has been crazy but I'll try and give updates on what's going on :)

I have been trying to make a tip jar recently, I think it's worked but like most things it needs testing and people's feed back. One of the functions is give web address for this blog, I'm not sure if people would want to receive stuff like that TBH.

One thing that I have looked at was having the option for people to grab my DJ group tag, which I have managed to get sorted. I just wish there was a way that a group tag could be given on mass to the people in the club automatically at the halfway point of a shift shall I say or when there is X amount of people there :)

God I don't ask for much do I lol, well feel free to give me some feedback on the tip jar when you see it :)

Another year!

Where did time go?

Well I have no idea where time has gone, it's been a while since I posted anything, truth be known RL has kept me busy.

It appears my return to SL last night for my Muddys shift went well, with a good and fun crowd of VIP's :) and I remember some odd conversations going on, I hold my hand up, in all honesty and truth I never started :) I dare any say different lol

One thing that I did see was the change by LL on their privacy policy and how that affects third party viewers. So if you using anything other than LL viewer you might want to find out how it affects you.. For those who are on Phoenix/firestorm check out their blog and website :)

Wow!  Jen and I had talked about taking a nice picture to put in our profiles, we tried the ones we both had in our inventories.. Jen did a bit of shopping and got a few great poses and this is one of them, and I have to say that the work that Jen has put in to the pictures is amazing and I love the background, baring in mind that the picture was taken at my home with my house in the background...

Another great night!

Great nights are ones where you come off and think about the evening and go to bed with a smile, and last night was another one of those times.

Sometimes its not about rushing about doing stuff but just dancing and chatting, Muddys is always a great place to hang out and make friends or meet friends..  Both Jen and I did this and tomorrow who knows what were be doing :)

Well what we did was spend the whole night in Muddys listening to the tunes and talking, Bliss!

I was going to write along section on what people post on blogs, but I cant be bothered to be fair. But all I can say is that lack possible foresight means that the're not making themselves look very good in the eyes of what could be the whole of the world.

But I have to say it makes me laugh,  I didnt realise that people love to ,make themselves look so bad in the eyes of others :)

Long live these people and the joy of just being them :)
